Beer brewed in town, a brasserie bar beside the station, or a night built around live music: Chamonix gives you a few good ways to come down from the mountain. Start with MBC for dinner. Look at Maison des Artistes when you want a show, and Chambre Neuf for the Gustavia bar.
MBC: beer and dinner
Micro Brasserie de Chamonix, usually shortened to MBC, is a brewery, bar and restaurant. Its menu includes fish and chips, and the restaurant takes reservations. It is our first choice here for beer and dinner.
Make MBC the dinner stop when the group wants beer brewed in town. Check the current menu and reserve through the venue if your party needs a table.
Chambre Neuf: the Gustavia bar
Chambre Neuf is the brasserie and bar inside Langley Hotel Gustavia. The hotel's current information lists lunch, an evening à-la-carte menu and bar service extending to midnight. It also directs dinner guests to make reservations through reception.
Stay for dinner if you want to keep the evening in one place. Ask about the current live après program when booking.
La Maison des Artistes: choose the performance
The municipality's venue listing describes La Maison des Artistes as a cocktail bar and live-music space, with a Mont Blanc-facing terrace and several kinds of seating and performance space. The concept was developed by musician André Manoukian.
Make this the music night. Look up the performance and its booking conditions before going.
